CONGRATULATIONS to our Most Festive Window Decorating Contest Winners!

There are so many beautifully decorated windows in the downtown area making the Village festive & bright. Thank you to ALL who participated!
Â
We are building a new feature on the Chamber website that will have a recap of past events. These pages will be accessible to anyone visiting the website, and will contain a photo gallery from each event, event details, and sponsor information. The goal of the feature is to have fun photo albums of past events, as well as provide an additional benefit to sponsors with sponsorship listings that remain on the website with the event recap. When it is live we'll send you a link to check it
out!
Â
Our Next Event scheduled for Saturday, December 18th beginning at 2:30pm is a Community Partnership Event: SANTACON!

Â
Three Notes about SantaCon:
- SantaCon is a fun Walk with a route beginning at Walker School and ending in downtown Clarendon Hills organized by the same CH community member who organized the Witches Ride. The Walk will have a PD & FD escort in front and at the back end.
- SantaCon is also a community food drive organized by Avenue Christian Church who will be collecting non-perishable food donations as well as cash/check donations to be distributed to 3-4 local food banks.
- Prospect Avenue will be closed on the west side of the triangle for the event and Avenue Christian Church will have a booth to accept food and monetary donations. The Open Door, The George, and iL Mio will have recepticles outside of their locations for people to drop food donations the day of the event until 5pm. Meredith Lannert is Coordinating a SANTACON Food Drive Porch Pick Up the day of the event. Participants Can Text Meredith at 630-947-9497 to Arrange Pick Up.
WE NEED HELP WITH THE SANTACON WALK! Derek is asking for volunteers willing to help with traffic control at the walk.
The volunteer schedule is as follows:
- 2pm - Volunteer Meeting with CHPD at Walker School
- 2:30pm - Walk participants meet in the Walker School parking lot
- 3pm - The walk begins following a route that travels east on Harris, north on Prospect, ending in downtown CH.
Coverage is needed for the following Brigade Stations:
- Ridge and Walker
- Walker and Harris
- Grant and Harris
- Prospect and Harris (2 people)
All Volunteers will receive a reflective vest and 2-way radio to use during the event. Volunteers will get a radio cue to close the street at their station 5 minutes before the walk at 2:55pm. As the Santa Walk passes each station, the streets will be opened incrementally.Â

Please contact Derek with any questions and to Volunteer at this awesome community partnership event. Looking forward to seeing you there!
