(Important) Message from the new guy

Derek Berg here from the Clarendon Hills Chamber of Commerce.

This is my first email to our members as your new 2020 president. That has a weird ring to it. I'm not a huge fan of prestigious titles.

I will start out by saying the new 2020 board has been busy!

The energy is amazing! We are so lucky to have so many smart and talented volunteers on our current board.

I am blown away by the new board's ability to embrace all of the new technology and systems being thrown their way. Change can always be overwhelming in the beginning. But it is only going mean good things in the long run for our chamber.

First, we have our first CH Chamber Member meeting this Wednesday, January 15, 2020 (Always the third Wednesday of the Month).

I heard a rumor that our Co-President Laura is still going to provide breakfast.

This is good news since my skills in the kitchen are questionable at best.

We are going to try simplifying our meeting agenda to see if we speed things up a bit.

We shall start the meeting with reports from the village. This will offer them the opportunity to dismiss themselves so they can go out and the serve the community.
