Board of Directors Election

It's election time for the Chamber and your vote counts! Next week, December 20, 2023 at 9 a.m. we are having a Special Business Meeting. 

The purpose of the Special Business Meeting is to vote to fill open Board positions. There are FOUR board positions to be filled. As a Board, we wanted to include some information about next week:

1. The following Chamber members have confirmed nominations from our nominating committee, and have expressed interest to join the Board:
   1. Colleen Bentley (Park Planners)
   2. Maria Makkas (Chicago Limousine)
   3. Daleen Basson (Daleen Basson Home Design)
   4. Jackie Errico (Just Lift Fitness)
   5. Meredith Lannert (Lannert Homes)
2. If you are interested in joining the upcoming Board, Members may self-nominate at the December 20, 2023 Chamber Member Meeting as a FLOOR NOMINATION to be added to the ballot. This can be in person or via Zoom.  A self-nominating member must be present at the December 20 Member Meeting to nominate themselves. We have included Article VI of the bylaws below, the bylaws in their entirety can be found at https://www.clarendonhillschamber.com/bylaws
3. After the December 20 Special Business Meeting, the Floor Nominations will be added to the ballot with the committee Nominee List. The ballot link will be sent to each member in good standing via email. The ballot will instruct the member to vote for FOUR CANDIDATES and proposed bylaw changes. Voting will end at 11:59 on December 20^th. 
4. It was presented to the Board by Chamber Membership to review and update the bylaws over the last few months. This is still under review with the Board and will be tabled for 2024.
5. The annual budget is under review and will be finalized for chamber membership review at a designated Special Meeting announced in January.

We want to express gratitude to the Board volunteers that are ending their term this season. Your dedication is deeply appreciated by all.
